As CEO of NOA, I am incredibly proud of what our team, together with our partners at Al-Rashed Sons Co. and the Ministry of Information in Kuwait, has achieved in the Kuwait Radio Archive Digitization Project. Today, I would like to take a moment to say thank you to the people who made this landmark project real.
On the NOA side, this project was carried by a team of outstanding professionals whose dedication went far beyond what any job description could capture:
Vladimir Hübner - the architect of our mediARC Factory platform, whose meticulous system design and technical depth formed the foundation everything else was built on.
Wigdan Nassr - whose project coordination and communication kept us aligned across time zones, cultures, and complexity every single day.
Peter Kuhnle - whose hands-on technical expertise and relentless focus on quality turned design documents into a working factory.
Daniel Strut - whose contribution to the factory workflows and deployment made the difference between theory and production.
Helge Suess - whose knowledge and commitment ensured our systems performed to the standard Kuwait Radio's heritage deserves.
And on the Al-Rashed side, it has been a privilege to work alongside a team that approached this project with exceptional professionalism and genuine commitment to doing it right. Special thanks to Nidal Fawaz and the entire Al-Rashed operations team for their hard work every day in the Factory — and of course to Kamal Mouazzen and the team around him, whose partnership and leadership made everything possible.
This is what I believe archiving is really about: it takes the combined effort of engineers and archivists, of managers and technicians, of Austrian software developers and Kuwaiti broadcasting professionals — all working toward the same goal. Preserving something that cannot be replaced.
Congratulations to everyone involved. I wish I could have been in the room on 20 May — but I was there in spirit, and I am enormously proud of all of you.
For everyone who could not join us in Kuwait on 20 May, the video clips below offer a glimpse into the ceremony, the people behind the project, and the importance of this moment for Kuwait Radio’s broadcasting heritage.
