Boosting Efficiency

Handling carriers in large-scale digitization projects requires advanced logistics and sophisticated, fine-tuned workflows and business procedures. To allow for easy interaction with tasks, actLINE includes specialized but configurable user interfaces.

System Management

The actLINE product family also includes several tools for comprehensive licence management (LicenseServer) and centralized, real-time monitoring and management of processors running on distributed servers within the NOA framework (ServiceConsole).

Facilitating Ingest Operations

Multiple actLINE products can be used to manage complex scenarios in file ingest processes, continuously scanning pre-configured watchfolders for new media and metadata files, or processing digitized files.

General Public Path (GPP)

The General Public Path (GPP) is the storage path for inter-task file communication during the execution of a workflow. It resides on a centrally reachable physical storage, to which all (and only) workflow processors have read and write access.

Facilitating Integration and Cooperation

Multiple actLINE tools specialize in providing ways to utilize existing customer infrastructure (e.g. Vantage, Vidcheck), harnessing the power of software tools and scripts (e.g. PowerShell) or connecting to external metadata databases (e.g. DISCOGS).

Facilitating Storage Connections

To help customers avoid vendor lock-in, all NOA frameworks connect to 3rd party multi-tier storage systems (HSM) through a special connector called StorageConnector.

Audio Digitization Example

Standard workflows are designed to leverage the full benefits of framwork-native tools. Most carrier-related workflows are triggered by barcode scans, processed by various actLINE processors, and managed in framework client applications.

Video File Ingest Example

Standard workflows are designed to leverage the full benefits of framwork-native tools. Most carrier-related workflows are triggered by barcode scans, processed by various actLINE processors, and managed in framework client applications.

Efficiency and flexibility are (y)our top priorities.

Easy-to-use client applications with full task and workflow integration.

Server-side services and automation reduce working time and OPEX cost.

Native services and various methods for integrating 3rd-party services.

... and a lot more!

Transfer QC and Technical Annotation

In all archives, the quality of preserved media assets is paramount. NOA's product portfolio includes professional quality control software for human assessment of audio and video.

Workflow Interaction

Making users' lives easier and enhancing their efficiency is NOA's top priority. Particularly in the realm of labor division within complex environments, we've found that employing simple, clearly defined, one-purpose user applications is more effective than navigating through two specific screens within a universal and bulkier application.

Media Transcoding

Switching between preservation and production/broadcasting/publishing formats is crucial for multimedia archives. NOA has developed a specialized tool for high-throughput processing of audio and video files, featuring full workflow integration and exceptional scaling capabilities.

Automation and Integration

Archives, crucial to organizations, demand more than just optimized user applications—efficiency thrives on automation and machine interfaces. NOA's solutions are transparent, encouraging customers to create powerful automation scripts and integrate third-party tools seamlessly.

File Ingest and Processing

NOA's actLINE product family presents a workflow-based import system for audio and video files, along with associated metadata files. Imported media files are normalized into an internal mezzanine file format and undergo thorough signal analysis. All technical and descriptive metadata, whether imported or generated, is processed and seamlessly integrated into the workflow engines within jobDB and mediARC.

System Management

Considering the scale of some digitization projects and the standard requirements of larger organizations and their complex IT ecosystems, NOA consistently provides and enhances useful tools for IT administrators to effectively manage their NOA systems.
