The project created a professional inventory-to-ingest pipeline for roughly 50,000 carriers, using mediARC, checksum verification, preservation formats including FFV1 and BWF, and XenDATA-supported storage management.
The three-phase strategy made each budget cycle a complete production milestone. Phase 1 established inventory, metadata, barcodes and identifiers; Phase 2 added transcoding, storage connectivity, integrity checks and management tools; Phase 3 activated full video, audio and CD ingest.
Because the same architecture continued throughout, RTCG avoided rework and retraining.
Following years of successful audio digitization, the National Audiovisual Archive of Hungary has extended its partnership with NOA to preserve its television heritage.
