NOA Introduces StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA

Archiving specialist NOA will present its latest groundbreaking solution, StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA, in booth 8.D91 at IBC in Amsterdam.

Based on the StorageConnector management module for NOA’s mediARC Archive Asset Management (AAM), the new StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA features Partial File Retrieve (PFR) technology on FFV1 video coding and lets users store to and request from Oracle DIVA Content Storage Management (CSM)archives within mediARC workflows.

NOA is the first company to natively support FFV1 via the Oracle DIVA architecture through low-level integration. When storing to Oracle DIVA CSM by means of the NOA StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA and mediARC, Oracle DIVA CSM acts as a large disk space from which users can transparently request material.

StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA also allows existing Oracle DIVA repositories to make use of NOA mediARC’s Archive Asset Management (AAM) solution as well as other existing Production Asset Management (PAM) and Media Asset Management (MAM) systems. Other advantages for users include significant timesaving when retrieving files as well as the possibility to have multiple file copies in Oracle DIVA CSM, independently from the mediARC structure. In addition, Oracle DIVA CSM can now also work with NOA mediARC as an Archive Asset Management system.

NOA and Oracle recently carried out their first project together at Sharjah Media Corp. in the United Arab Emirates. “SMC runs its production asset management on Oracle DIVA backend in the archive and we are looking forward to working with NOA on future projects,” said Rino Petricola, Vice President, Digital Media Solutions, Oracle.

“We are happy to expand our support for storage content management systems, such as the well-known Oracle DIVA CMS, which is now accessible through our new StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA. As a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork, we have always been relatively close to Oracle technology, but now all of our customers who already have Oracle DIVA installed can expand Media Asset Management capacities with an Archive Asset Management system such as mediARC.”

said Christophe Kummer, CEO of NOA

NOA StorageConnector for Oracle DIVA runs on standard Windows environments.
