Meet us at IBC 2014 in Amsterdam

A whole bunch of new developments and project reports will be presented at IBC2014 this year. The different cooperations we started last year with VidCheck and Quantum are starting to produce great success, and we would be happy to share our experience with visitors when it comes to building archives on standard IT technology, standard formats and openly accessible metadata models. Some of the new features are presented right away:

NEW** MediArc for WEB features

mediARC for Web allows access of archival content for a large user base. It now features an extension to show video content, with easier navigation based upon a shot-detect index. Video proxy files can be located more rapidly, and various video segments can be easily processed to an order basket. These items can be made available in various video production formats by the mediARC workflow backbone and ActLine modules..

NEW** VideoScanner for Video File Import
The new NOA VideoScanner decodes a list of evaluated production formats to a lossless mezzanine format, produces a shot-detect index, and allows for unified handling in the subsequent archiving process. The features include support for progressive and interlaced material in SD and HD, pixel formats in 4:2:0, 4:2:2, 4:4:4, of 8 bit and 10 bit components, so that no lossy transformations have to occur at any point of the preservation process. VideoScanner is a valuable tool for streamlining the file-based ingest of video content for mediARC.

NEW** JobDB Video Enhancements
JobDB can now be enhanced with the ingestLINE module FrameLector, and the actLINE modules VideoFileAnalyser and MediaButler. With the additional module options, JobDB now provides a comprehensive infrastructure for service providers and archives, allowing them to produce video preservation- and proxy formats in order to achieve a variety of workflows for legacy video archive digitization. These tools, developed initially for a mediARC environment, and successfully deployed at SRF Sweden, RTV Slovakia, and RTV Slovenia, are now available for the simple-to-use JobDB workflow environment..

Looking forwards to seeing you soon !
